I miss my old lever gun. Took it apart and smoothed and polished all of the contact points and changed a few springs around. Then had Pops from ODT refinish the wood for me. Pre-cross-bolt safety, JM stamped .30-30 Marlin 336 with a Pentax Pioneer 3-9x40 with a Duplex reticle(actually a great scope for that gun). Always meant to change out those horrible see through rings but never got to it. Was the smoothest lever gun I've ever felt. I consolidated calibers before my daughter was born and got rid of it. That one really hurt. The bluing on it was about 95% or better and Pops did an awesome job refinishing the wood. It was a perfect example of a classic 336 before Remlin completely fucked them all up.

336........The AK of lever guns!
I've got a 1968 model that has been cut down to 16 inches. The finish is worn and the wood is too, but I love that gun!
