Not mine, either - I worked with him, he was OK, but not my favorite.

The more I read about this, the more it seems he was in the right. His f'ing daughter ought to be feeling like shit about now - I'm pretty sure the guy was trying to intervene in a relationship to save his daughter.
Well, it may be true that his intentions were good, and that he was justified in protecting himself and others when the shooting started.
My point is that there’s so much misinformation out there about “drag em back inside” and “if you shoot him you might as well kill em to save yourself a lawsuit”, that people do stupid things that get themselves and others into trouble.
Another one is talking to the police after an incident.
Miranda law means even the innocent need to protect themselves by shutting the fuck up when the cops arrive. The police are going to document everything- including the rantings of someone who is all charged up on adrenaline and upset after a shooting. “Hell yeah, I shot that motherfucker, he deserved it for messing with my daughter “ can get you a murder charge.

Yep - my business partner is a criminal defense lawyer, many of the RunNGun guys I hang with are JBTs. They all say the same thing: Don't talk to cops, don't consent to search, ever.

Oh yeah, that's why I didn't say it was for sure justified, there's no telling at this point. Not my buddy btw...
Hey, justified or not in the eyes of the law, 3 men enter 1 man leaves. 2 lost the room temperature challenge and that’s a fact.

Whatever it was over or not over, just another reason not to run around this world acting tough because someone might just be that dude and have no problems hooking your ass up.

Miranda rights serve as notice that ANYTHING you say can and WILL be used against you.
They way it works is that if you are arrested, you would actually have to assert your right by communicating that you are invoking your right to be silent. If the police try to get you to talk after you expressly invoke your 5th Amendment right, it's easier to exclude those statements from evidence.
Another consideration is your 6th Amendment right to counsel. If you state that you wish to have counsel present, then the police may not ask any questions until your counsel is present. If they do, your responses may not be admissible without the prosecution showing an affirmative waiver of your rights.

Big caveat - Miranda rights only apply if you are in custody (which usually means you have been arrested). If police are on the scene and investigating or interviewing you, these rights don't come into play.

Disclaimer - this is not legal advice because I am not advising anyone specifically here on what to do in the above situation. I am only explaining how the law would operate in this type of situation.

So does anyone have a yugo m57?

Yep, and I gotta say me and my boys enjoy shooting it 25X better than the CZ52. That roller-locked pistol is a beast and not pleasant to shoot. Maybe I just need more practice with the CZ...

But the M57 is a pleasure to shoot. Just hold on.

Reminds me I need to get more mags for it...

Reminds me of my complicated relationship with the P64. That thing is a beast and the recoil is very unpleasant. Shoot a regular Makarov and it's easy peasy.
