Thank you. Mary is on the Pre-Op now. I am on pins and needles.

It was easier to deal with my daughter dying than with Mary's surgery. Do not know why.
Maybe I am just a cold stone-hearted SOB. o_o

You're not stone-hearted. One was probably inevitable and the other a uncertainty. As painful as it was it was easier to deal with my mother's dying than father's sickness.

We need to do our own Kalash/SET M&G soon.
My dad is still coming this winter/spring. Your chance to have AK questions answered by a former Soviet lieutenant colonel.

Man......I want my picture taken with a Soviet LTC SO BAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
He is not allowed to take his old uniform out of the country (anything with rank insignia), so he would have to be in the civvies. :)
He is bringing me his officer's leather bag, raincoat with harness and a few odds and ends.
Do not know if we will be able to take his medals out of the country, they might have to go to my brother. My dad is also keeping his dad's WW2 medals, if I could get hold of those, would be great! Family history.
