Florida borders are not closed, just questioning people coming in. Trying to isolate people coming in from "hot spots"
"
Everyone driving south on Interstate 95 is being rerouted into a commercial weigh station about 8 miles below the Florida border, then asked if they came from New York, New Jersey, Connecticut or Louisiana. The checkpoint has been in place almost a week now by executive order from Gov. Ron DeSantis.
All passenger vehicle drivers get questioned by state officials about where they came from. If it is from one of those aforementioned states, they will have to self-isolate for 14 days or for the duration of their visit, whichever is shorter. Officials said they should be prepared for additional monitoring by the Department of Health to help mitigate the spread of the coronavirus.
