I was just busting your balls but they do recommend that you put some sort of adhesive under each layer to keep them in-place but thats obviously up to user preference
I used some fast set stuff and half assed wiped the back of each layer except up at the top. Really though it isnt under any stress and is purely decorative so it shouldnt move

you know I've always wondered how hot a campfire actually gets. Our Quikrete adhesive is rated up to 425 degrees. We sold fire pit kits this year at depot and were recommending our adhesive to be used in its installation. So I have to imagine under the right circumstances it would be fine. Unless you're into burning tires and trash then you may need to take another route
Well that's pretty thick DIP, class 300. I'm sure it will probably insulate that brick pretty well from most of the heat...but get a good fire going for 3-4 hours and that pipe will radiate heat for probably rest of the night

New model 7.25" or older (used) model 10" sliding miter saw?
If I had any hope you’d be getting an ancient slide miter Hitachi 8.25”, I’d say get that. These recent 7.25” things are typically garbage.
That said, there’s a lot of garbage out there in general, including in the 10” blade. Hate to say it, but even the more recent Hitachi (since like 1998 or so) has been rubbish, too. But it’s still better than the shit they sell at Harbor Freight. I had a 10” slide compound mitre saw that a contractor left at my house when he stole my hardwood floor nail gun. That thing was such total shit it came apart as I was using it during an Eagle project. Luckily, nobody was hurt.
So, if you can get a used DeWalt from a pawn shop, go that route.
