It is easier not knowing. I can honestly tell my wife I have no idea how many mags or ho much ammo I have. Just need a few more.

OG galils are 1k more than ACEs. The ATI Galeo is built using a galil parts kits but I havent seen how they've been holding up

.IWI ran a blem sale last December for 308 andx39 (nothing wrong with the rifles), SMGA sold them for 1100, Classic for 1000. Recently Tanner Sporting goods (Ohio?) had x39 pistols for 1100-ish shipped.
And Atlantic is a place to go for ATI Galeo (warranty). A few guys on the Files have them. Seem to like them... Tapco Galil mags work the best in them, not the Israeli surplus.
Building one on Tortort receiver from a kit is a way to go, if you want the original.
