I have all BCM parts (except it will have an URGI rail) for a BCM upper to put on a factory BCM lower. Never built an AR before. How badly can I screw it up?
As long as you have the right tools it's pretty easy. Find a good tutorial on ARF and go for it.
I haven't either. I've had buddies assemble AR lowers while I watched, but this is my first AR. I figure I need to do it myself, so I can work on it when it breaks.
Tools? Have a vise, hammer, rubber mallet and a blow torch. Do I need anything else?
Work has been getting crazy.
If it's just assembling the lower, the basics are a good set of punches, a hammer, and spanner wrench for the castle nut. It helps a lot to have electrical tape, a bench block, and razorblade.
If you're assembling the upper, the big thing is properly torquing the barrel nut. The rest is more punches, hammer, needle nose pliers, and allen keys.

Great place for a cheap ambi CH, and other stuff that’s non-critical. I think they’ve also got that latchless CH, which is ambi as well, for $24 shipped.
