Good financial decision... When it's a good time, I recommend getting the process rolling. It takes a long time for the first one, but it's much easier after that.

And regarding the multi-caliber can, there are plenty that will do it with thread adapters, but a jack-of-all-trades is a master of none. My first two were a Guardian 9 (cheap 9mm can from a company that's no longer in business) and a Thompson Machine .22 can. The .22 can sees the most use of any of them... by far.

A .22 rimfire can, and a .30 cal can that can handle anything from 5.7 up to .300WinMag.
The .22 is a direct thread, the other uses muzzle devices for QD.
Took me a LONG time to finally take the plunge, but I’m glad I did. Now just gotta finish the drought days.

So I have an Israeli pistol in .40 cal. Its kinda rare and the mags are impossible to find. When you do they are $60 each. I just won a gun broker auction for another of these pistols in .40 with 4 mags.

So I am gonna pirate 3 of the mags for mine, and sell the other gun with one mag on ODT for what I paid in the auction. Instant profit!
