I did the 2x thing for a while, one to carry and one for the ‘collection’, to ‘invest in and gain value’. Some of that has worked out.
But the Garand I bought 10 years ago for $750 is STILL worth only $750.

As far as ARs go, consider keeping one pistol lower and one rifle lower, and then keep a variety of uppers that you can swap onto the appropriate lower. It’s like having 6 or 7 guns with a lot less expense in the triggers, lowers, stocks, etc
