We put in a under ground fence for our dogs and it works great. We had a regular fence at our previous house but here we just had too much land and I wanted to give them a decent area to roam without spending a fortune on fence. We probably have a good 5 acre area under the electric under ground fence. A couple of training sessions with the dogs and they understood and we have had no issues with them getting out. They know where the boundaries are now and stay clear of them.
Now if I lived in a neighborhood I might re-think that option just because people and other dogs could still walk in to the under ground fence area?
