Sometimes I love being a gunsmith.

I have an idiot acquaintance (the one I bought the bushy from) that asked if I wanted to buy a glock for $100

I asked what was wrong with it.

This jackass (No clue how he did this...I am baffled) managed to get the slide on with the guiderod on backwards and the slide is completely bound up.

I don't even know if this is salvageable
Impressive

I swear I did something like that with a Glock before and didn't think I'd be able to get it back apart. I think in my case the guiderod was just misaligned. For $100 why wouldn't you buy it? Worse case drive to Smryna looking sheepish and they'll hook you up.

Held my brother in law's Glock 44 last night. Cool little gun! You should get one. This is my only authorized purchase for 2020 for you however, at least so far.

You are advocating smart financial planning by buying a firearm with known issues of slides cracking, and launching extractors into orbit during firing?

I’m gonna pass. No blue label price. I can get a real caliber for the price of the 44. Too many videos and issues I’ve seen. If anything I’m gonna get the Taurus tx22 for less than $250. Yeah I know, Taurus. I’ve had good luck with them.

I'm in "need" of a few things. I need an FDE Eotech and I need a Yugo M48 or similar. I also need Geissele to man up and send me my receivers and I need an MB1S and a LaRue rail.

Immediate need (I actually have the stuff), I need to chop an A2 fsp and then remove it to change the barrel nut to install this MI rail I have on a PSA CHF 10.5" upper...I have hand tools but I don't have an angle grinder or a bench grinder. How much work am I looking at with a hacksaw and a set of files?

Interesting in the ARF thread that their stripped lowers seem to not be finished as nice as lowers on complete rifles. Hopefully yours is finished nicely whenever you get them:

Gonna probably gonna cut the guiderod spring and the rear boss off the guiderod and unjam it that way. Then just slap a new one in and throw it on ODT for $400

I am gonna go ahead and admit it's literally been a decade since I have taken the glock armorers course so I might end up selling a Glock parts kit...

I hear ya, but you don't buy one because it's a real caliber. You buy one for a toy. My brother in law has shot about 1500 rounds thru his and hasn't blown his hand off yet. You do not have my permission to buy anything from Taurus.

I goofed mine up probably more than 10 years ago, but when I did I could push the slide back an inch or so. I still don't remember how I fixed it. I think it was just brute force and don't fully recall what I did to screw it up. Come to think of it I think I only had one side of the rail on lol and somehow had managed to get the slide on.

That goes for the new Pythons too cause they internals are made by Taurus (I have had good luck with Taurus as well. Put just under 70,000 rounds through 24/7 Long Slide in .45).

I just think 350ish for a not so reliable 22 pistol is too much. Bump the price down im in. At 350 I’ll just get another blue label

Yeah, I agree the price needs to settle at around $300 max. He did say that it jams the same way anything in 22 jams though, so whatever they supposedly figured out to make running 22 more reliable, they didn't.

I have an smith m&p 22 that has never jammed 1 time, I have at least 6 or 7 thousand rounds through it , it even shoots subs with a suppressor just fine, it shoots cheap ammo just as well as good ammo
