It is...I was at Adventure Outdoors, back when they were in the smaller building up the street. They'd just gotten a shitload of model 64s in, mostly 4-inch sq butt, but a few were 3" RB. I'd just sold my 13-3 3" RB (pinned and recessed) and wanted a stainless 3"RB, but not in .38 Especial. All of these things were marked "GA Parole Board", and as I dug through the pile I noticed ONE was a .357, but the tag was the same as all the others. Same price, too. I think it was $230, so I snagged it.
It's my last .357Mangleumm, and -to me- the perfect version. I never liked how pinned barrels would sometimes move, and how recessed chambers collect crap.
Of course, I don't shoot full-bore .357 158gr 1350fps stuff through this K frame like I (stupidly) did the other one!

So I've got a gun that was carried by a member of a group that's put more felons on the streets than MS-13! How about that.

AWESOME STORY. thanks for sharing.

That last line had me rolling

I've still got hundreds of rounds of full-bore .357 with speer gold dots from Ga Arms. The only .357 I still have is my dad's 60s era Ruger Blackhawk. Really wanting a .357 lever action.

Someone I was talking to recently had a Mares leg 357 for sale. It was a good price too. I will give her a call tomorrow and see if she still had it.

I used to want a .357 lever action to go with my .357 revolver, but I don't ride horses anymore. Now it's an AR-15 and NV scope with one of my many trusty 9mm's.

I love .357 levers of for woods walking, brush guns. .357 is potent out of 16 in. barrel & they handle sooo well.
