We are discussing the FR-8 having a larger head space over the FR-7 allowing it to shoot both .308 and 7.62x51 ammo with no issue. The FR-7 I believe could only shoot the 7.62x51 NATO round.

You could put a chamber sleeve in it and convert it. Would need to mod the magazine too, but doable.
