These things are AWESOME.
I have those on ALMOST all of my AR rifles. Only 2 uppers that don't have it are the Dissy (currently has a Magpul Pro knockoff or something like that and a red dot, but I'll likely replace it with the carry handle I already bought) and my first AR build that has had a Nikon 3-9x40 on it, and no way to remove it to use iron sights, so I had cheap offset irons on it. But now that scope is getting replaced, and the new one will have a QD mount like my .308 AR, so I'll need another Matech.
IMHO the best way to go, unless you love Magpul Pro sights, which are often my choice for front sight.
@Leadhoof , is that anything you need for your Canada build?
I think all I need is a Diemaco Triad rail and a C7 charging handle latch. Unfortunately, that upper has neither.
So I feel I must come back and update all of you. I ordered the Cloud Defensive light from the Botach link I posted on 1/4. Well I checked it several times over the last week and it showed shipped and had a dhl tracking number, that never showed any info. They took my money on 1/7. Today they email me my item is out of stock, when i ordered it showed in stock with 6 or 9 on hand. Just FYI order at your own risk. So not impressed.
Botach is infamous for doing this.

From at least the late 1990s. I didn't pay enough attention to where he was getting the light or I would have piped up before @Shortcut ordered. I don't even look at their site when it comes up in a search for something.
Holler when that bottom right with the blue gray straps is up for grabs.
