Hey @Jake What's your opinion on the Sig 1911s, aside from the extractor?

They are great 1911's loaded with features you won't find on similarly priced 1911's. The only thing that drives me crazy about them is the shape of their beaver tail on most models. If you plan to carry it IWB and you've got a few extra pounds on you those damn things are sharp as hell and will dig into your side. Also, they require their own proprietary holsters specifically designed for Sig 1911's since their slide profile is so much different than standard 1911's.

I knew a custom 1911 pistolsmith who used to have a couple Sig 1911's that he carried in his EDC rotation. That told me all I needed to know about them. I'm still trying to get past the external extractors on them but if I found a good deal on one I'd snag it up. I want a C3 CCO or one of their older 1911's they made in .357 Sig.

I wont lie, the main draw for me is the front strap checkering in guns that seem to go for $700 on the used market. Almost nothing else can touch that
