PSA Stainless Barrels?

They had a FA 6.5G at the last IV8888 shoot that was running fine all day long, even on FA. I wanna say they were running C Products mags specifically designed for the 6.5G, I'm like 95% sure they were C Products mags anyways.

Oh I agree, but there are some good mags out there and some junk mags...same with 5.56. Just need to get some quality mags.

I'm reading lots of people having reliability issues even with the better mags when loaded with more than 10 rounds. Kinda like the 7.62x39 AR's, your trying to double stack larger rounds into a magwell that was designed for 5.56.

I hope Magpul is getting that sorted out, and coming out with a 6.5 mag.

I’ve got a 16” .308 Proof Research carbon fiber barrel on my DRD Tactical M762. All their gas ports are over-sized, so plan in dealing with that ahead of time.

I'm going up to Montana to see them in October. I might see if Milton will do a custom CF barrel for me while I'm there. I'd like a 16" 6.5G and they don't make one. I could mention the gas port issue too. Fingers crossed.

So you're going to tell him that his gas ports are over-sized and then try to get him to custom make you a barrel? GLWS.

He loves me. I'm sure he will listen and explain their reasoning. If there's some tweaking he can do I know he will do it. We have a close working relationship with them and have for quite a while.

You get what you pay for.... don’t expect a sub MOA gun but definitely better than a Bear creek.

They’re made in Columbia SC by PSA’s sister company D.C. Machine.

I have built a couple 6.5G uppers and use the ASC 5, 10, and 15 rounders for it. The springs were really tight so I left the mags loaded for a couple weeks that fixed it. You do need a specific follower for the round tho.

Shadow Hunter Concepts is running a group but from Ballistic Advantage. I ordered the 20 inch premium 224 valkyrie barrel and a matched bolt for $250. You could do the same in 6.5g as well and get, what I would consider, a much better barrel and still stay budget. Let me know if you want contact info. He is putting in the order either tomorrow or Thursday.
