Worth a damn? Thinking about the 18" 6.5G upper. For $320 with BCG it's tough to beat...if it shoots.
I'd be plenty pleased with MOA groups.I doubt you will be able to keep quarter size groups at 1000 yards but for what you pay you will definitely get something you can shoot. Putting an NF on a 200 dollar barrel would be pretty awesome though.
I mean, it's awfully tempting to use industry discounts and make every build as Gucci as you can make it, but even with discounts that shit adds up.I doubt you will be able to keep quarter size groups at 1000 yards but for what you pay you will definitely get something you can shoot. Well I'd much rather use a Proof CF barrel. Maybe I'll send Milton an email,
It's not going to be a precision rifle, it's going to be a 200 yard deer and hog rifle and it'd be totally fine at that distance. My main focus for hunting at short range is energy, not hair splitting accuracy.Fuck that. It blows my mind that people buy PSA shit for precision rounds (6.5g, 224 valkyrie, etc). You get what you pay for. Didn't think I'd need to remind a NF salesman of that.
So why grendel and not say a 6.8 or something? It's not going to be a precision rifle, it's going to be a 200 yard deer and hog rifle and it'd be totally fine at that distance. My main focus for hunting at short range is energy, not hair splitting accuracy.
I think the Grendel is sexier. So why grendel and not say a 6.8 or something?
Ya done been BIT!Damn it. Now I'm wanting one. I got to looking at them, and was curious what ammo cost, had no idea wolf sold steel case 6.5G for under $5 a box. That would make for a pretty good and cheap hard hitting plinker and hog Slayer.
Looking around the interwebs it seems like people have trouble with mags reliably feeding the 6.5G

Gotta get some decent 6.5G Specific mags.Looking around the interwebs it seems like people have trouble with mags reliably feeding the 6.5G
I can deal with decent accuracy, decent ergonomics, decent prices, decent looks, decent weight, but decent reliability is a deal breaker.Gotta get some decent 6.5G Specific mags.
Oh I agree, but there are some good mags out there and some junk mags...same with 5.56. Just need to get some quality mags.I can deal with decent accuracy, decent ergonomics, decent prices, decent looks, decent weight, but decent reliability is a deal breaker.
