Didn't even know about the ruger american rimfire, i liked the savage fv-sr but the mags were garage. Now i have to add it to the gun list
On my list as well. It’s got potential for sure. If they would drop the MSRP $50 it would help them a ton. The cut off for Base Class NRL22 is $1050 between scope and rifle MSRP. That cuts out two of the most popular scopes for NRL Base class. And it’s not like any Ruger has EVER sold for MSRP. Well, except on another forum I know. 59AF2A07-C95C-441A-BD0C-5697ED3773CC.jpeg

Good to go at Red Hill.

Will provide lunch as well. Gonna work to get a couple more companies and some of their products out for the event as well.

I'll start working on a course. Anything in particular you guys, gals, tranny gucci cz fanbois and non-binary optics dealers would like to see convered?

Start the day with a rifle check. Fix issues in scope mounting, and anything else that stands out. Spend about half the day doing pretty standard instruction and shooting. Get a good zero and chrono numbers for your rifle and ammo. Break for lunch. Come back and get dope out to 300 yards and talk about match specific information. Will yhen go into a basic match. Will be very low key and provides instruction to each shooter as we move through some stages. Each stage will also get a mental breakdown of how i mentally plan for it.

Being that ammo is cheap and light, I'd say bring 500 rounds. May or may not use all of it. I'd also suggest getting decent ammo. What seems to work at 25 and 50 yards simply does not work at 200 and 300 yards. Eley target or club on the low end, but ideally something like Lapua Center X, midas, Eley match or edge. Plenty of other quality ammo, so that isn't exhaustive, but those are pretty standard rounds. No, your boxed CCI will not work well and you'll just be mad shooting past 100 yards. But if that is what you have, bring it. Best case, shoot some different ammo and figure out what your rifle likes the most, and bring that.

Gear:
Rifle
Minimum 2 mags. I suggest more.
Bipod
Sling
Rear bag
Backpack
Ballistic calculator. Kestrels are wonderful, but not necessary as there are plenty of free phone apps.

Biggest thing I’m looking for is reading wind. I HAVE to get better at that, but honestly, anything is a plus. I need to improve on everything.

I’d like in on this. I haven’t stretched my TacSol 10/22 out beyond 200 yards.
But that’s all I have to work with.

Plan on early May if we are all back up and running. The 2020 - 21 season starts in May, so I would like to do this before the first match. Red Hill Range is the only NRL22 club in GA, so if you want to shoot true NRL22 matches, this is the only place for now. If you want more, talk to your shooting clubs and get them to go through the approval process.

Payment. I will make this due in advance so that we can get a proper headcount. Thinking 10 shooters, max 15.

I use Killoughshootingsports.com. They post and allow you to choose lot # and pertinent info from other lots if they no longer have the lot you were shooting.
