My son turns 13 on Monday. And here I am frustrated about no ammo. Boy did that statement hit home and make me think. Prayers sent!! Believe in Miracles!

Sincerely

So true. Have a co-worker that lost his son (32 Years old) a couple of weeks ago. Helped me understand how trivial my problems truly are. Prayers sent.

Prayers up for Gemeinschaft and his son.

A little over 27 years ago (right before Christmas) I was told that my 5 month old son had an aggressive form of childhood cancer. I think I know exactly how he feels and what he is about to go through. In our case it involved several surgeries, 2 years of chemotherapy, radiation treatments, constant doctor visits and hospital stays. It certainly changed our lives and my son's life. The good news is he survived and will turn 28 this year, is married to a wonderful wife, has a college degree, has a career, loves guns like his dad, has a great personality, and is a genuine nice person. He did get some bad traits and of course I blame them on his mothers side. ::) ::)

We know he survived only by the grace of God. More good news is that survival rates for many childhood cancers are very high. Not for all, but many! When you go through something like that you learn to realize pretty quickly the important stuff and there are no guarantees in life.

That's a very encouraging post Doug! I hope David Morefield and his son Caleb check back here. I told him our forum member's posts might lift up their spirits!
