Lessons learned.

Factory slide stop is best. The Ghost brand one has a slightly shorter spring that can come undone.

Make sure you file out the guide rod channel very well. Otherwise you get a very gritty slide pull.

The ejector may need minimal nudging to get the slide on the first few times.

So finally got out and tested it today.

Not sure how many but it was at least 100rds.

Had a few malfunctions at first but thing smoothed out as I shot more.

The malfunctions were mostly stovepipes and failing to return to battery and some failure to feed.

I used OEM and Magpul mags. Definitely seemed to like the OEM mags better.

Overall it was a success.

It's not a gun I'd carry right now but with more rounds shot and an inspection of the internals to smooth out some places that may be binding up and slowing the action I think it will be come just as reliable as a factory Glock.

Not the greatest news but at least it's running. Live that bad boy and out a few hundred through it. It'll likely work out.

Yeah, from what I've read my results seem to be typical and it smooths out after a few hundred rounds.

Nice to hear the snow melted enough for you to finally get around to shooting it. Work in progress sounds like it's gonna get better the more you run it. Good job @Righter13.

These have polymer front slide rails just FYI if you didn't know.

Yea I did notice but I was gonna get a local Glock 22 for 350 and use the parts out of it and see what happens.
I have read reviews and so far these are holding up OK.

Damn Will, we are gonna have to start calling you Mr. 80% and the Garand Whisperer, lol. Do they make any 80% stuff that you don't have?

Not that I can think of yet lmao
