Pocket organizers

Does anyone carry one or use one? I'm debating on picking one up to kinda keep everything consolidated. Between my lighter, pen, pencil, Sharpie, knife and other assorted things. It's always a trick finding the one thing you need in your pockets. Too, I almost lost my flashlight yesterday. I would've been pissed. I saw the Maxpedition Micro, but I don't know if a pouch would be too bulky. I also saw some set up with just elastic loops. Anyone have one of these set ups? What's your opinion.

I tried one. I don't like that I can't spread the weight around my pockets. For use in a bag it isn't bad but it makes getting things in and out less convenient

I can't remember the brand, it was similar to the maxpedition one. I kept it in the cargo pocket of my work pants and it pulled that side down too much. It was also a huge pain any time I needed to get something out. For example, if I needed to jot down a quick note I had to pull the pouch out, open it, and then find somewhere to put the pouch while I used the pen. Then I had to do it all in reverse.

Are you wanting something to use while your at work mostly or EDC?

For work I would get a small belt mounted pouch that holds your knife and writing things. That way you have quick access. You could also look at "tactical" pants that have more pockets.

If it's EDC I would just cut back on what you carry.

That makes sense. I would consider a belt pouch then. When I first started working EMS I had one that held my radio, shears, pen light, and multitool. It worked well but I use a different set up now.

I have the maxpedition (xl size) that stays in the center console of my truck. I like it solely for that purpose, though I wouldn't like something like it in my pocket. They are very convenient to have for a bag or larger area that small items could get lost.

Yeah, I might order a micro just to try it out. Worst case scenario, I end up with a pouch for spare batteries, pens and extra bits for the Gerber. We'll see.

When my wife asks me which pocket something is when she reaching for it I always tell the middle one, it's the zippered pocket
