Dont know why with all the interest in suppression that more manufacturers dont have threaded offerings. Pistols are easy. Long rifles are not that hard. I applaud Ruger for their threaded barrel offerings.
It seems that with most people mounting optics on long rifles that for the cost of adding a front sight manufacturers could simply leave off the front sight and install threaded barrel.
I've been on the hunt for my next suppressor host. Looking at/for CZ 75B Urban Gray Omega, comes factory threaded. I know what you mean about TB versions as I look at them a lot harder because of my cans. You would think that for another 3/4" of barrel and threads, suppressor sights, and additional sale price it would be a lot more of an option. I guess the bean counters still run most mfg.
Several on ODT. Howie is a great member and normally prices his stuff below market if you are interested. I've dealt with him several times and easy to work with.
I'm in the same boat. Before I even consider a new pistol, I look for aftermarket threaded barrels. Rifles are much the same.
I may as well spin some vice grips around on the muzzle.

I have had good luck with Lone Wolf, I hear guys bitch about them but I have 3 of them and they have all been fine.
I pay to have it done on a lathe right and not chance having a baffle strike or worse in the can.
I wouldn’t thread a rifle barrel that way, because you’re indexing off of the OD. It isn’t uncommon for the bores of factory rifles to be off-center. You want baffle strikes? That’s how you get baffle strikes.
I thread barrels, using a CNC lathe, and I always index off the center of the bore. That way, you know that the center of the bore is in the center of whatever device you screw on.......as long as the device was made properly.
I always use suppressor alignment rods to double check.

I’m all about threaded barrels. Most of my pistols are threaded barrels. I have two for my Sig MK 25. One metric and one 1/2 x 28 Still wanting a threaded barrel for my Sig 229. They’re pricy , keep hoping I’ll find a deal ! Think I’ll go check Gunbroker , haven’t looked recently .
