Had a fellow at work today approach me about a rifle. He heard I had a passion for firearms and liked to fix up neglected firearms.
Be said he had an old 22 rifle he aquired for payment on some work he did for an older gentleman. I really wasen't very interested as I have 2 left to work on after I finish my Marlin 336 Project.
Anyway I told him to send me some pictures to my Android and man was I surprised!
What he wants is to trade for a handgun. He's gonna bring it for me to look at in person and we'll see where it goes from there.
What he has, and I don't think he knows it, is a Winchester Model 1890 and from the serial number I dated it to around 1915-1917.
Seriously thinking about doing this!

Does that trigger STAY back that far?? Wow. (or does it reset forward when the pump is activated? I like the color of the stock. The metal needs major cleaning..but , isn't that what the redo is all about? Go for it Mukwah.

Don't know about the trigger, all I've seen is what you're seeing. Supposed to meet up with him soon and actually take a closer look at it. We'll see then!

No, I think he's having second thoughts since he found out exactly what he had!
