Just three? I had a hard time narrowing it down to 10, much less three. I think I'd have to deal with the basics- food, water, shelter. Give me my Seibert knife, a freaking propane torch (peizo ignition), and a two or four quart pot.

There are about 300 other things I'd like to have. Given the three above, I expect to die cold and hungry at some point.

Gotcha. I'm assuming the setting is true wilderness- someplace that you are not likely to be able to find man made items like old cans/bottles/etc. Really any metal object.
