I've got approximately a four year back log of gun related projects as it is- so I'm focusing on getting the parts to finish them at my leisure.

Projects include:

9mm Glock AR lower build (have lower, LPK, but no second 9mm upper)
AR 10 build... have lower, LPK, stock/buffer/tube/etc, but no upper. Not super concerned about getting the upper right away.
RAS AK47... don't know yet, but I'm probably going to dick with it one way or another.
Rem700 in that chassis stock... I swear it shot better groups before the chassis. Gotta work on that one some.

All that said, I've only got eight AR10 mags. Could use a few more of those.

And ammo in all calibers, reloading components for everything I shoot regularly, and probably some clay pigeons just in case there's a run on them.

What firearm related stuff are you stockpiling for the apocalypse of 2016 aka Hillary wins the election?

Me: Lowers, LPKs, "high cap" mags (PMAGs, Glock). Probably 22LR too.

Personal stock or retail?

In a panic situation like the end of 2013, a non-popular caliber sidearm like a 38 super, 9x18 mak, 7.62x25 tok, or the similar was nice to have. That ammo was everywhere while 9x19, 40, 45 was scarce. Revolver ammo - if you like shooting them - was available for a while too.

Of course it was nice to be eyeballs deep in 223, 762x39, 308, and the popular pistol calibers as well.

A stockpile of 556 mags for a quality AR with tons of ammo was very reassuring for me. I am very comfortable with a 556 AR though some others don't like them.

If you're an AK guy, you could go with 762 or 545 spam cans, mags as well.

Panic situations really force you to think - what do I need vs. what are nice to haves. To be stockpiled in ammo and mags with a reliable firearm was the goal.

For us city dwellers, you probably can't go wrong with a mossy 500/590 or Remy 870 with a metric fuck ton of 12 buck either.

Just some thoughts and memories...

I don't require a lot of guns, but I do need a lot of ammo.

Eh, that's about it. Maybe a couple more VP9 mags?

Add .357 sig and 40 to the list. That stuff was everywhere.

Enough items to keep me entertained while the prices sky rocket. Still need to finish some of my current builds and stockpile extras for those. I feel though if I keep my current pace I should be alright.

You can always use more ammo... But maybe during the panic, I'll buy stuff to upgrade my current guns, I'd like a RMR on my G21, and new sights on my G17. I'm sure in, the next few weeks, I'll get a optic for my PSA AR-10. 10/22 stuff dried up pretty quick, so I'll get a few things I'd like to have for my 10/22, and maybe even a 2nd 10/22... I think you cannot go wrong buying extra BCG's, they were like gold during the last panic... Magpul mags, were a good bet also, b/c they were going for stupid money... I have a ton of GI mags that I like better anyway, so I'll stick to them.

nothing. I have what I need/want. I'm not going into panic mode, nothing is going to happen

on the upside, I very well might turn into a panic flipper!

Oh the irony, sam getting ready for the zombie apocalypse... I bet she will be one of the first ones bitten, and turn into a brain and meat eating machine... ;)
