Got all my metal ceracoted for 75 dollars, your needing chemical stripper and paint . I think thats about 30 to 40. Just a thought. Of course mine is only 1 color. I had my 35 year old 150 dollar rifle done.Even had the stock hydrodipped. I want to keep for 20 more years.
I guess I am anal and wanted to treat myself. Have about 250 total in it all said and done.

You guys who have painted, are u using high heat paint or just standard krylon?

Regular old kylon and zero prep work. Just gotta break up the pattern, not trying to win an art contest. I can do a whole rifle start to finish in 15 minutes (plus dry time) for 15 bucks.

honestly, paint a $1,000,000 gun, if it makes it more useful, then do it. I hate this whole ideology that guns are just to be kept and sold like trading cards.

Love keeping most my stuff had since I was 18. Bought and sold some new stuff , but had no meaning to me. Started revamping and updating the old. Liking that much better. Hunter more than a shooter so I guess I`m doing what fits me. Hell ,have fun and create I always say.

No degreaser? I guesss because I was a painter I don`t think that way. Prep was 95 percent of the work :)
