So I'm about to come into an AUG clone, MSAR e4. It has the top rail, but i cant decide what to throw on it. Low magnification, large tube red dot, or small red dot? 16.5" barrel.

When you say small reddot do you mean like an ainpoint T1 or a RMR?

I wouldn't pick it up personally. I damn near had to give away my MSAR.

I'd go with the larger fov/tube red dot personally.

off topic but i agree.

the real AUG is out there and is a better value in my opinion.

back on topic, though - i would think any quality optic that you would put on an AR is valid on these rifles. i would be considerate of the necessary eye relief on magnified optics as bullpups tend to position the optic closer to your eye than other rifles.

an aimpoint or eotech should work well, though.

i've owned a tavor and a steyr so i hope to be able to answer any more specific questions/concerns that you have.

Aimpoint Micro T1/T2 or Trijicon MRO.

I prefer the Aimpoint, but it's a personal choice and nothing wrong with the Trijicon.

I own 2 of the T1's and just bought a T2.
