Yep, same exact lower below minus the roll mark.

@Leshaire
I'm not 100% certain when they changed vendors and whether or not it has anything to do with the different generations. I honestly haven't paid enough attention to know the difference between Gen I - III.This must be why I always thought the Gen III looked like they were manufactured somewhere else from the Gen 1's.
I just know enough to know Gen 1 are their normal forged type lower (looks like all others), gen 2's have the nicely flared magwell, but still forged, and Gen 3's are the most extreme flared magwell and are billet, not forged.I'm not 100% certain when they changed vendors and whether or not it has anything to do with the different generations. Yeah, I guess it was the Gen II vs III where I checked out mentally.I just know enough to know Gen 1 are their normal forged type lower (looks like all others), gen 2's have the nicely flared magwell, but still forged, and Gen 3's are the most extreme flared magwell and are billet, not forged.
There is a noticeable difference between the quality of a new Gen 1 and a Gen 3. The anodizing blows on Gen 1 as well as the machining. Although I don't like billet receivers, the Gen 3's are miles ahead in the previously mentioned categories IMHO.
With all that being said, one of the most accurate barrels I've ever shot was a Noveske SPR barrel a couple of years ago. And the N4 barrel profile is superior to most other HF barrels currently available. They made their name in barrels, with the Stainless barrels earning a well deserved reputation for accuracy and the N4 barrel was the first HF barrel commonly available for the commercial AR market. I wouldn't hesitate to own one of their barrels. But I doubt I'd ever pony up for a complete rifle.Ohwell.... I still like em
I think you should do a side by side with the BCM and the Noveske once you get them in hand.With all that being said, one of the most accurate barrels I've ever shot was a Noveske SPR barrel a couple of years ago. Can do. The BCM is the standard, not the BFH, right?I think you should do a side by side with the BCM and the Noveske once you get them in hand.
@Leshaire
That is correct.Can do. The BCM is the standard, not the BFH, right?
What does BFH stand for? It means Hammered forged right?Can do. The BCM is the standard, not the BFH, right?
That's the designation that BCM uses for hammer forged. I guess it's a reference to "big effin' hammer".
So you're more of a novelty Ned than I am rofl.
Novelty Ned. You've never heard that? Like you go out of your way to buy shit that you don't need because it's "cool" or whatever.
Oh... That's not me at all.Novelty Ned. You've never heard that? Like you go out of your way to buy shit that you don't need because it's "cool" or whatever.

Yeah that's a lot of the reason I went with BCM. I feel like they're the best company quality wise that isn't fucking gay. I hate shit like Daniel Defense that over charges for the same quality parts because they're "cool" and they know that they're popular enough to still get lots of sales. I'd rather a less popular company personally, that makes similar quality parts for cheaper. No wake and Daniel defense are good examples to me of companies that know they're popular and take advantage. Just me though.Oh... That's not me at all.
If that was me I'd gone w a Novekse marked BCG but the DD one I got will be just fine.
This build is more of a proclamation of who I am. (Yeah, I know all touchy geeky and shit)
Idk that I'd call DD a "cool" company. To each his own though.Yeah that's a lot of the reason I went with BCM. I feel like they're the best company quality wise that isn't fucking gay.
