Now go buy one- do it before I'm home later and the kids are in bed. I'll likely order one tonight if they're still in stock. I sold that 686+ and have gun money laying around at the moment.
I'm mentally planning too darned many projects right now, and the least any of them will cost me is $1200. lol....I'm just going to sit out for a bit too...probably until after SHOT.

What bushnell is it? I have one picked out for my 10/22

I'll have to check- it was a 50% off clearance deal at Midway a month or so ago. Bushnell Elite with a Mil-Mil reticle, side adjustable paralax, and I think it's a 4-12 power. Clearly, I was paying close attention to the specs.

At the time, I remember thinking that it would work well on most anything from a 10/22 up to an AR10.

Well, I have a spare AR10 stripped lower sitting around the house too... you should probably go ahead and buy it from me.

me either, at that price I am soooo tempted to snag one even though I had no plans on an AR10 build ATM.
I'm still kcking myself for not jumping on the 2015 black friday PSA deal on AR10 uppers and lowers. I remember @NWS got in on it...then traded it. l0l

I like it. I would be interested in comparing it to the FV-SR. I really enjoy that gun

I am planning on getting a bushnell 2-7x with target turrets and the side adjustable parallax. It's a good price on Amazon.

Parallax adjustment for 7x?

From what I read it is mostly for problems with parallax at shorter distances since most are parallax free at 50 yards or greater. It wasn't a feature that I had to have, but the scope fit all the other things I wanted so the parallax is just a bonus.

At only 7x you shouldn't have much distortion to deal with at all. Rimfire scopes parallax is usually set at 50 yards, and centerfire at 100. I suppose for super serious target shooters it might matter a little.

I know, I would probably still get that scope even without the parallax adjustment since I fit all the other specs I was wanting. There wernt many options for scopes that fit what I wanted.

I couldn't own that rifle. IIRC it was less than 500 bucks.
