I've had a Streamlight Nano on my key chain for a couple years now- but I'm tried of paying for the tiny coin cell batteries. The last set barely made it a month (I think the summer sweat had a big impact on the lifespan of those batteries).

I saw a Massdrop offering for three of these Nitecore Tube lights- key chain sized flashlight that is USB rechargable. High/low settings- infinitely variable settings for that matter. And a lockout feature to keep it from turning on accidentally.

I've only been carrying this thing around for a couple days, but so far I like it. I have some concerns about the long term durability of the plastic housing being against my keys on a daily basis, but I guess time will tell. I'll update this as time wears on-

Right now, I'm still impressed with the little light for about $9 delivered.

I think I need this. Love having the keychain light when I can carry the torch in my pocket.

Had a proton light for YEARS. But I think it now needs replacing...
