I ran across a "Trade" I couldn't refuse this week, swapping my 4" SS Ruger GP-100 .357 magnum for a Glock 30 .45acp with 2 10-round mags & 2 13-round mags. After buying my first 1911 3 weeks ago, I just couldn't resist another .45acp...plus I love Glocks. Here is the Glock 30 alone & with the 1911 Commander. While I loved the GP-100, it had become a safe queen since we don't own/ride horses anymore. Plus, I still have the 3" SS SP-101 .357, so I'm not totally empty handed. I'm a very happy camper this week. Yogi :eek:

Yogi, congrats on a nice trade. I've had a second generation G-30 without the rails for many years. It's been a great gun without any issues or failures. The tenth round is a little hard to load in the magazine but my Uplula makes up for me. Have fun with it!

Sweet Glock Yogi! But that Commander is a beauty! I think my first 1911 will be a Commander!

That's excellent Yogi; especially with being able to retain the SP-101. 'Tis the season to be jolly, eh? ;D 8)

Congratulations, Yogi! Hard not to like both of those beauties. I'm a Glock fan as well, but don't have a 30 yet. It's on my short list.

Thx all, just couldn't resist the trade. Guy at work got the G30 in late summer & only put about 50 rounds thru it, so basically traded my safe queen for a new G30. Couldn't be happier. And yes, I definitely have the .45acp bug right now. Next on my list? A Chrome 1911. We'll see, have to work around the "BOSS"! Yogi 8)

Took the G30 & 1911 to the range yesterday. Exercised both with about 200 rounds, what great shooters both are. I'm adoring the .45acp round more & more. Do believe the G30 will replace the G26 by my side while at home, 14 rounds of .45acp trumps 16 rounds of 9mm. Yogi 8)
