I just finished rehabbing an old clap board shed I found on my property. The shed was built in a classic T Floorplan suspended on 24" stilts. There was a fully framed floor structure with floor panels. I decided to take one section of the workshop and make it a storage place for my 22' boat.
Over the last 2 weeks I have jacked up the floor and removed 12 floor joists and 400sq ft of raised plywood flooring.
I also framed in a 10' wide door way..now I can back the boat in. However, it still sticks out 20" at the bow. My choices are:
1) Build an awning that overhangs the bow.
2) Open the back wall and frame in a 24" "dog house" for the stern.
3) Make the front doors a clam shell type that extend out 24".
And more ideas?
