Need help deciding on a buy

I'm able to get a 1965 Remington 870 wing master for $150. It looks a little rough due to it being a patrol shotgun for years. Is that a good deal?

Definitely OK to ask, that's what the community is here for! Welcome!

Depending on the condition, that seems like a great deal for a good shotgun. I saw SOG had some police trade in's for in the low $200's (it should be listed in the Advertised Deals forum here).

Are you planning on using as a home defense gun? Truck gun? Hunting shotgun? Refinishing it?

Wingmasters are good all around bird/squirrel hunting guns, decent w trap and skeet, and usually the older ones are the best looking. I'd risk it.
