Nice, I keep trying to talk myself into getting back into a .308 semi-auto.
I had a nice .308 bolt, Savage FCP-K, which I regret to this day for trading, but I have the M1 Garand taking it's place at the moment ... so kinda have the high-powered battle rifle segment covered for now.
I don't know what it is about the M1A that calls to me, but I'm thinking I will need to get one

by the way, how's the eye-relief on that Vortex?
I picked up mine on another local trading site, already had the 20 moa Ken Farrell base - traded it off for a Sig 1911 package .... Was an awesome rifle, but just not practical for my uses, but now you have me reliving my stupid decisionsI have spent the last 2 years looking for a FCP-K in 308. I have one in 223 and I habe never owned a more accurate rifle.
I've been trying out a lot of scopes lately; I've always been a fan of Millet, but have been hearing good things about Vortex and SWFA glassIt's pretty good honestly. I've only scanned it once or twice inside the house, I'll know more when I take her out to shoot.

I never had a chance to stretch mine out beyond 100, but same for me using Gold Medal Match (didn't do too bad with Federal Eagle either) - the threaded barrel is certainly a plus, but for me, without wanting it for can purposes, the brake on it was a nice plus.Mine is very much sub MOA. I shot a whole box, 20 rounds of Gold Medal Match through the same hole at 100.
The 5/8x24 threading on a 223 bolt gun is a big plus for me too since I can use my Cyclone without a thread pitch adapter.

You guys went shooting without me? You suck. I have a few guest passes for BWG if schedules work out.At the range the other day with Woodstock, I was putting holes in holes at 25 yards (the max distance at Hi Caliber). I need to bring it out to @NWS's farm and take her out as far as my little Vortex Crossfire II can see.
