Ray.....Kraigster has to get home soon....His reloading room needs a little TLC..... :D :D :D

Maybe his wife will cede some more room for his 'stuff'; it looks awfully crowded.

Nice fall day today. Took a trip with my pastor to the gun shop in Eden, NY. Enjoyed a good hour window shopping the display cases, got a box of .380 ammo, had a cup of coffee, great time! I noticed how some guys are riflemen, some shotgun afficionados, others handgun lovers. A young fellow came in with his girlfriend to consider some potential weapons for her, even though she is probably a year way from purchase ready. I jumped in on that discussion (which is always welcomed there, unlike most other gun shops). What a good day! :)

I've always found it an enjoyable time to go to my LGS in Provo. I use two stores...Sportsman Warehouse...and Gunnies in Orem, Ut. Gun stores are a unique experience in the retail arena. You go to the clothing store for clothes. the food store for...wait for it....food. You go to the gunstores for companionship of like-minded folks (both staff ,and customers). Who knows...you might even buy a gun..or ammo..or whatever...but you go there for the experience. The closest place that I can think of is an auto store to pick up a new ride. ( but then,,,you gotta wait while they talk to the "manager", financial specialist...and spend the day trying to get the crap outta there!!. Give me my keys, and LET ME GO ALREADY! Gun store..heaven!

I think the first handgun I ever bought was from a place a Provo called Vanwagnons I believe. The owner was such a jerk it made going there kind of fun. Been to Gunnies a lot also.

Here in my part of Indiana there are no good gun shops close. There is one with an OK selection and the guy that runs it is not the best to say the least. There is another one ran by my friend who is a LEO. He is friendly of course, but he owns the world's smallest gun shop. That is not a put down his website says "world's smallest gun shop". :)

Here in Louisville, KY, Lotus Gunworks is my favorite gun store. The store is clean and well lighted and the employees are frienly and helpful.

When I visited my brother this Spring in St. Petersburg, FL he took me to a place near by called Bill Jackson's Sporting Goods. They have a relly nice gun section and indoor range, but what was really neat about it was it's location. You take this long winding road through the tropical vegetation and then in the middle of nowhere you come upon this big sporting goods store. Parking is a series of spots carved out of the trees and vegetation, two spots here, three over there, and so on. It's very strange and cool when you are used to big asphalt parking lots, next door to another business. If you're ever in the area it's worth checking out! www.billjacksons.com
