I plan on getting some lancers for sure. Just waiting to find a good price when I have money for them.
I got a 20 rounder from truprep. I think it was $12-15. Im pretty sure they had 30 rounders too. @Patryn ?
LOL, how do you like that dual illumination model? Solid hundo cheaper than the one I opted for, but I almost got that one.
I like it. I got the green triangle. The amber is a terrible choice as it seems to wash out easily. As with everything, it has pros and cons.
Pros:
Super crisp
Plenty bright in most situation
no batteries
no buttons
cheaper than the led version

Cons
Still expensive
can wash out in some scenarios
the more available amber one is terrible

If you want a mag to last, get the stainless GI mags, or Lancer mags. The Lancer floor plates arent quite rubber, but they have more give than pmag floor plates. They also have steel feed lips. Look on youtube for a drop comparison. Hint: pmag didn't do very well

That guy was either a liar or used a faulty mag.

I wonder if that was a gen 2 or a gen 3 mag? I could see how a gen 3 would hold up better because of the way the floor plate is designed.

This is the video I was referring to. Its just one guy, so its not the end all be all. I still love Pmags.

Honestly, I wouldn't worry about protecting the mag, they can take a beating. But if it just nags at you, just lay down 10 or 12 coats of plastidip on the bottom inch or so of the mag. Cheap and removable.

I like the lancers. I have 10 gen 2 pmags, I think I'm going to get me about 10 lancers too. I like the semi transparentness of them

I have Magpuls on a few Pmags. I use them when I borrow a mag holster for matches. Makes them a lot easier to yank out with sweaty hands.

I don't use them specifically for added protection.

Also, I don't put them on my range mags as they become too bulky in my ammo can to carry around.

I do keep dust covers on a few that I have them for. Mainly because they are there...lol

I couldn't really see the video because of the glare coming off of the guys head.

Also, boots and shorts is a nice look.
