M249 SAW anyone?

I saw this. and love it. I watched a video with a rep from FN that said the price will be about 6-7k. Idont love it anymore
It would be cool to have a belt fed SAW but the price tag is high. he also said that there is no way to make it full auto, legally after a tax stamp of course. If Im spending that much I would rather have a barrett
It has sentimental value to a lot of guys I'm sure, and it also has the ability to add 3 inches to your dong while at the range or while sitting on your dining room table.
If only they could come up with a way for it to accept a registered MAC lower or something like that.
I get it...kinda...but how many of those guys can afford a $6k semi gun that does nothing but look cool?
No sentimental value whatsoever... When you first get to your unit, its the 1st weapon you will prob. get. Its heavy, awkward to hump (carry) gets dirty as hell, and takes forever to clean. Its also difficult to zero the weapon, if you dont know what your doing.
I dunno, but any time a FA rifle is converted and sold to civilians, I'm 100% on board.
I think it's great. There doesn't have to be an intended purpose, or huge target audience. They already have the gun in inventory. Drop in a trigger group, profit. Why not. I'm tired of all of the same old crap painted different colors that most manufacturers have come out with.

I'm sure their are cheaper rifles to practice clearing jams with.
I'm with you on this one. You might as well try to sell me a semi-auto mini gun.
Waste of time and money. The whole reason for the M249 was to provide troops with a FA LMG for fire suppression. I cannot see a need for an SA version.
Only thing that would make if cool is a slide fire stock for it. Otherwise it's a super expensive toy
Neat, bit not $7K neat... There is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much more I would rather have for the money.
For $7k you can get in the full auto game and have some real fun instead of buying a bigass dick extender.
