I have done a little thinking about the whole Glock mag BCG issue and I found some info on the web about cutting the relief for the mag in a standard bolt and the guy used a dremel and some files. I have a mill that sits here at work and only gets used if I have something to work on. I know @Cudruln is looking for parts and I found some sweet deals on the modded bolts, I thought I would make this offer. If one person who is building an AR9 has or is buying a Glock mag cut bolt and we have another person who has an unmodded bolt who was considering getting it done, why I would be happy to borrow both bolts and see what is needed then cut the unmodded bolt. Of course if I mess the bolt up, I will replace it. The bottom line is if I can use the mill to do this and people are willing to provide me with the needed materials. I will be more than happy to mod the bolt for any of our members who want to build an AR9 that uses Glock mags. The fee will be small and always negotiable!
Alright fellas, I had a little on the 50 year old Bridgeport mill at work today. @Cudruln was kind enough to be the guinea pig and sent me his $50 PSA complete BCG. It took longer to get the mill set up than it did to actually take the material off. The bolt is made with some quality steel so it took two bits to do it. Of course, it did not help that i was working with a 1/8" bit that was not exactly quality. Enough of the chit chat, here it is.

Nice work there- is there enough room to get a larger end mill into the groove? If a 1/2" diameter cutter would fit, I would expect it to last a lot longer. And on that note, I'm not really sure that cutting away some of the material off the outside of the bolt would make any difference in function.
I agree that a larger bit would last longer. I am using what is available at work. The next smallest up from the 1/8" is 5/8" and I would have an issue based on the way the bolt was clamped in the mill. I plan on ordering a couple of quality bits if this turns in to more than a one-off project. I don't mind helping our community out and doing this for anyone on the site who is building an AR9 that uses Glock mags. I would certainly be very appreciative if someone could measure the inside distance between the feed lips of a 9mm Glock mag and post it for me.
I think Cudruln posted pictures of the bolt. I can post one this afternoon when I get home.
I didn't get any pics of it. I barely took it out of the package. The was another thread that had some pics though, but I am unsure of which one.

You hoping for an open cavity like the Jp 9mm bolts for use with the silent capture spring?
If I remember correctly it is a solid end. If there is room, I can probably mill that out as well although I would need one to put my hands on to do it. Does this silent capture spring come as a kit so you can modify existing bolts?
Not for a JP spring. But for a Law Tactical folder ...it has an extension piece that makes up the gap of the folder ... I made a prototype but I'm not sure if I like it or not. There are a couple of changes that I'd make on any future ones.
So I am getting ready to start gathering the last of the parts for my build. I currently have a pistol buffer tube that I was planning on using with this build (till I get it SBR). The only thing I am running into is the recommended buffer. I know @PewPewPewCo recommended the silent buffer, but I was looking around and found this ( https://newfrontierarmory.com/shop/buffer-spacer-9mm-40/ )attachment for the buffer. Is this worth looking into or should I just get a ar9 specific buffer.
I run a JP silent spring and it's pretty sweet. I would recommend it. I know the bolt becomes an issue, but most of the bolts I encountered had the ability to remove the center section to allow for use with the captured springs.
Also if I go with the JP silent buffer the BCG would need to have an open central channel on the non bolt side. What are the odds in the PSA bolt that I bought would actually accommodate the JP buffer. @Mac11FA When you get some free time will you check it out for me and let me know if it is an open channel bolt.
looking at the picture I can't the the back end of the bolt, but you can see the seam around it and the hole for the pin. You remove that pin and the center section slides out. I wouldn't take that to the bank, but that's what it looks like to me.
