Let's talk hearing protection

I tried one of the DIY kits to mold the plugs to your ears. I think I followed the instructions pretty closely but they didn't work well for me.

Always wanted the custom fit that they do at the gun shows just haven't taken the time or spent the money yet.

I did the custom fit one from the gun show, several years ago. EARinc.com or 1-800-525-2690. I'd suggest that you have him make the mold for you in person. (he puts a plug down your ear, then molds it to your ears) I had the guy do it at a Gun show, 2 week later I got my finished set mailed to me at Ft.McCoy. These work very well, I was around heavy gun fire 10 hours a day nearly everyday for 4 years, these prob. saved my hearing, and me from getting kicked out of the Army for hearing loss. Its funny I just saw this thread, I just went to Audio Doc yesterday, to do a Army ordered hearing test.
