I finally put my first SBR together. I didn't get in a hurry because I'm still waiting on the call from Rich that I can take my Octane 9 home, but I had some time and decided to get it done.

It's a 5.5" 9mm. So far I'm really digging it. If it shoots like it looks/feels, it may be my new favorite until my next new favorite. SBR.JPG

nice, what lower/upper? I'm seriously considering a 9mm build, but doubtful I'd do an SBR ...... I know, sacrilege

I saw a nice looking Rock River 9mm carbine up at the Gun room in Conyers. If I wasn't SBRing, I'd probably just buy one. Parts for these things ain't cheap.

I was eyeing a PSA 9mm build, then I became a pussy and didn't pull the trigger during their recent sales. I don't own any 9mm guns, but I keep coming back to how it might be cool to have a 9mm AR

No real need for it other than having the can that can do .45 and 9mm; I'm very indecisive lately

I'd give my left nut for a 9mm AR that takes glock mags. I know they make them but they are way out of my price range.

QC10 makes one lower for Glock mags and one for Colt. I don't like the angled look of the Glock mags or the fact that I'd have to buy something made by Glock, so I went with the Colt version.

I guess I'm not really concerned about having a true 9mm lower vs an AR lower with a block just because I doubt I'll get that serious about them. I'm thinking it would be cool to have a 9mm AR, just like it might be cool to have a .45 AR, but I'm not gonna go bat-shit crazy over the specs since they would just be range toys for me.

That's all mine are. At least until ISIS or zombies invade my living room. Then all bets are off.

Well, if we're talking SHTF and ISIS scenarios, then I'd be the first one to say that I still wouldn't give two shits about a dedicated lower vs a block adapter ;)
