Killer deal on an amazing rifle

I've been to the georgia factory where these rifles are most likely made, the price is insane for the quality of barrel, fit, and stock/chassis.

Cheaper than a Ruger rpr and better looking IMO

Mixed bag. BPI makes barrels and actions in house for several gun manufacturers. They produce handgun barrels, rifle barrels and actions and muzzle loader barrels and actions. Some if their rifles use barrel blanks from Spain that are then bored and reamed in their GA facility. The actions for the rifles are machined in GA as well.

I'm NDA'd on the specifics of what I saw/learned at the Bergara facility(and I have been contacted online for saying too much before) but they did have bolt gun barrels in the CNC when I was there.

Depends on your use of the rifle. Just plinking or hunting out of a blind, they are great. They keep trying to market it as a match rifle. It is not. Barrel profile is too thin to keep up a 10/12 Rd string of fire.

Barrel blanks come from their Spain location. They used to make the receivers for Kimber rifles - I believe that ended when they started building their own "proprietary" action - although could be wrong about that portion. All in all good rifles.

Good rifles, but a bit of a bastard. Lightweight for a match rifle, and heavier than most folks want for a hunting rifle. If they'd up that #5 barrel contour to a #7, it would be a sweet precision rifle. It's fine as is, if you keep your strings of fire short.

Thin barrel heat up after a few shots.
Hot barrel sling lead in direction shooter not want it to go...
Heavy barrel good for targets,and long strings of fire.
People no like walking in woods with heavy rifle, if going to shoot once at Bambi.
