Just sizing all my 223 brass right now, but I'm super happy with this thing. It really cranks them out.

Here's a picture of my setup so far. This is my first press, and I spent all my free time over the past couple weeks restoring this cabinet and finishing the wood top.
The room is a mess right now because I just got this thing mounted up, but screw cleaning, it's time to process some brass! IMG_20160923_232552412.jpg

Nice setup. You gonna reload pistol calibers as well? I have a ton of mixed range pickup brass (.45, 9, .40, .38, .357, and a few of some other random calibers as well).

Really awesome setup! Just make sure you are checking the OAL on that fired brass... one long case neck can detonate a rifle.

I only say that because you mention it's your first press. Regardless of how many times the brass has been fired (once or not) the overall length of the brass can possibly pinch a bullet into the rifling/barrel and cause a kaboom.

I plan on reloading 45 and 9 as well. I'll probably get into 300blk now that I can make subs for a reasonable price

No worries, im all ears. Ill never claim to know everything.
But I've already measured a bunch of random pieces, they are all over the place. So that's why I am going to decap and size all 4000 or so that I have, then trim, debur, chamfer and cut out the crimps of all of them. That way I will have a bunch of ready to load brass in a couple weeks.

I'm really glad to read that- it sounds like you are definitely on the right track. I was only worried because it's not all about re-sizing and reloading. I like to trim my brass to the middle of the allowable range. From what I remember, it's about 0.010" for .223/5.56. I generally trim to about +0.005" over the allowable lower limit.

I've been reading and researching for years, I just always decided to buy ammo and shoot now, than buy a press and shoot later lol.
If I remember right, nominal is 1.750". I figure I'll trim to 1.745" to be on the safe side.
