Serious question...and 100% not side seat driving. Did it change anything about the way you approach sales now? I'm not sure how I'd process that.
No. It was my first deal on the ODT and my first private transaction with someone I didn't already know. There's things I've learned about the forums and feedback systems that maybe would have caught my attention had I been more experienced, but I can't honestly say that it would have changed anything. He had a GA driver's license, a GA carry permit and a GA tag on his truck. That's what told the ATF and the agent said, "well it sounds like you did what you were supposed to do". Been trading ever since. Although I very rarely sell a a gun. I sold that one for reasons previously stated. Pretty much the only reason I'll let one go is if it doesn't function 100%.

I must have missed all of that. Short version? What was his screen name?

I believe he had at least two different screen names. I wanna say I recall 100ish feedback on each. There were a lot of ODT guns on those flights. We weren't allowed to talk about it on ODT...

Gunznswords was the one I knew.

Also, the only gun that I've ever owned that wasn't reliable(that I can recall) was a Rock Island 1911. Got it for $300 off of ODT and took it to the range with a few buddies. It would FTRTB every round to every other round. Sold it to a friend. He knew the issues as he was there when we were shooting it. He took it to a Gunsmith and had him mill the feed ramp and it ran fine after that. I think he said it cost him $40 or something like that to get it fixed...IIRC that was @00formula6spd that I sold it to.
After it was worked on never had a hiccup. Good looking nickel RI.

Not familiar with him. Doesn't surprise me that it was a banned topic on ODT. Just like 1Sparky, or whatever his name was, that was stealing guns from retailers, cars, or wherever and then selling them on ODT. He committed an armed robbery also and led police on a high speed chase.

Kimber Ultra Raptor II.

Absolutely beautiful gun. Wouldn't go through a whole mag without a malfunction. Turned me off of 1911s.

Series II Kimber was your first mistake, and then an officer size Kimber was your second mistake. The only series II Kimber I've ever owned that was worth a damn is my Kimber TLE II. I literally have shot tens of thousands of rounds through that gun without one malfunction. It will feed any ammo using any mag.

Savage Model 64. Nice looking 22LR, but what a piece of shit. Anyone looking for a unreliable 22LR to purchase?o_o

Second was a Taurus Model 85 (still have it). Factory cylinder was out of tolerance and the b/c was way to tight. Sent it back to Taurus, they replaced the cylinder and it has worked fine ever since.
