Jack of all trade cans

Since BHO is jacking things up again I guess it's time to get things into the trust before it's too late. Suggestions for a can that can support 9mm - 45acp and one for 5.56 - 7.62. Money IS a factor. Also, any dealers willing to trade cans for guns?

I can only speak to the Octane 45, does well with .45, 9mm & .22; haven't had a chance to try it with 300 yet. Swapping out the 45 endcap with a 9 endcap is supposed to drop .22 down a couple more decibels, but I couldn't really tell the difference. In any event, I think I'm going to stick with the Octane as my all-around pistol can.

Still not sure if I'll get a rifle can, but thinking about it

If it's a user-serviceable can, yes. I shot about 300 rounds of CCI standard velocity through my octane (with 9mm endcap) on an AR with a 22 conversion kit; all you really hear is the rifle action and the bullet striking the target.

If I hadn't already gone quantity over quality I would take a hard look at the Griffin Optimus.

I have the Octane 9 and have zero complaints. I only snapped it up when I did because Cherokee had them for $379.

If I owned one I could answer that question. I just purchased a Griffin Revolution 45 from @DoglegArms. Seemed like the best choice for me. He could help you here if he wasn't so busy tickling cyber balls on the ODT. If I had it to do over again, I would probably buy that instead of the Octane 9 and .30. would've been about the same money though.

And the Octane .45HD is a bit bigger than the 9mm cans I've got. And that .30 cal rifle can is a beast compared to a pistol can of any caliber.

I don't know about all around- I ended up with a can for basically every caliber. The biggest downfall to the all around can is weight- .22 cans are super light. And the Octane .45HD is a bit bigger than the 9mm cans I've got. And that .30 cal rifle can is a beast compared to a pistol can of any caliber.

I actually went to get the octane .45 to be my one pistol can. On paper the extra weight and length seems insignificant, but in my hand I quickly realized that I would absolutely know the difference when it was hanging off the end of a 9mm. They had the 9 at killer proce so I got it and decided to get the .45 later. There might be more practical options, but I don't regret it by any means.

You're right about the weight an length. On a G21, it's no big deal. I can imagine it's a big difference on a 9mm.

One other thing I found- my first centerfire can was a Guardian 9. I bought threaded barrels for the G17 and G34 (and G26, but that's another story). There was a huge difference in the G17 vs. the G34. The 34 just felt front heavy as hell. So much so that I never shot it on that pistol. The G17 is much better. And although I don't have a G19, I'm assuming it would be even better.

Sounds like a good combo to me. I've heard good things about the Mystic. I think you could buy pretty much anything anyone has mentioned here and be perfectly happy.

Have you seen the new silencerco hybrid thats due out any day? 9mm-45/70. This and a 22 can and you'll have pretty much every gun covered. msrp $999, plus various endcaps/pistons as needed depending what you'll run it on. @DoglegArms you going to have these?
