I had the opportunity to snap a few shots of an XDs alongside my Mod 38. They are remarkably similar in size but the J-Frame has a much thicker grip.

I have a rare S&W 360J. Im going to get an ankle holster for it. Now that I see it's similar size to an XDS and only losing 1 round I may carry it more this summer.

You can get thin grips for it as well.

I miss my 642. It was similar sized to my Shield but pocket carried so much better than anything but a mouse gun.

I divested my J-Frame collection after I chased an armadillo across my yard with a mod 36 and missed him 4 shots in a row. I'm sure I looked hilarious running across the yard in my skivvies trying to shoot that little bastard.

When finances allow I plan to pick up another one. But I agree that they are not the best guns for anything but up close defense. My main reason for getting rid of it to get a semi was I wanted something easier to shoot and manipulate with one hand.
