I learned this skill at the age of six. I used to pick the padlock on the neighbor's crawl space and "borrow" coke bottles to take to the Majik Market on the corner and turn in so I had some coin to buy some candy. Been developing it ever since.

Georgia Code - § 16-7-20(a) A person commits the offense of possession of tools for the commission of crime when he has in his possession any tool, explosive, or other device commonly used in the commission of burglary, theft, or other crime with the intent to make use thereof in the commission of a crime.

Use a paper clip most of the time and maybe a small tweeker screwdriver.

Hey safe moving guy I learned a long time ago that if you'll unbolt the safe first it will come off the pallet easier.

As for picking locks IMO it's about 40% skill and 60% luck. Even the "easy" stuff can still put up a fight.
