My yellow and zucchini squash are no where close...
I start a lot of tender stuff like squash in my basement under 2 foot florescent grow lights but this year seemed mild and a lot was sown directly in the soil. Mid April
I learned how to do that with.......a different plant, but very similar!

My yellow squash is starting to blossom; my jalapenos, serranos, ghost, Thai hot and Reapers are starting to do well also.
I have plenty and out near the Cartersville airport.
You can take all you can eat or dig up some to transplant.
It's all loose leaf that keeps reproducing until the heat kills it
