Probably a Winchester 1917 or another No 5 Mk 1.....or save for @Balthaz Garand
I would start on a .308 build. Now that I am under way on the 7.62x39 build I would also look at a 7.62 can. So many projects, so little money.

Buyer be aware. Those are put together by blind monkeys. Buddy just bought one. Bolt catch roll pin not all the way installed and lower scuffed, castle nut barely staked off center, grip not installed all the way, mag catch stud scratched up. All things that can be "fixed" but super poor quality assembly.
Yeah, blems use to be though to find anything wrong minus a lighter shade of gray anodizing. Now, it's like they sell trainees first assembly mistakes.

9mm luger rimfire is really tough to find. That's why I got rid of mine.
