Which fun were you talking about not being a liability? The PS90? I guess since it's a "thumb hole" and not a true pistol grip?
Liability in the sense that it will depreciate in value.

I have shot one and the first thing to go is the trigger prolly worse one I’ve ever pulled from the factory. I wasn’t crazy about how the thumbhole grip felt in my hands and I think it’s for a person with a shorter lop too. I couldn’t get comfortable shooting it didn’t fit or feel right but now a FN 57 pistol I’d be in for one if they weren’t so ^^^^ high but that’s the cost of quality goods. Usually PSA runs a descent deal on ammo too

I had one of the pistols, bought it new for $729 in 2006. Didn’t shoot worth a damn. Horrible groups at 25.

Every time I hold one of the FN 5.7 pistols I just can't understand the allure. They feel cheap and a horrendously expensive

I rented one at Trigger Time in Flowery Branch several years back. I don't remember getting that feeling but I didn't really fondle it too much and I rented a bunch of different guns that day. I just grabbed it from the counter, took it into the range, loaded up a mag and started shooting it and then took it back and swapped it out for something else when I was done.

i have a thing for bullpups having owned a steyr aug and a tavor. this thing never really did it for me. the 5.7 was more expensive than 5.56 and less powerful - i just never could find a use for this pdw that couldn’t be better filled by a 5.56 sbr. it is an interesting and unique design, though - and not everything has to be useful.

with the 57 pistol though - now that is interesting with the ballistics. and the now discontinued fs2000 aka tactical tuna also something i regret not picking up a while back.

i would love to find one if those now.

edited to add: i reread my post and am now feeling bad about poo-pooing the thought of having one of these. if you have the funds and desire - i say “go for it.”

Pick up an AR57 upper. I have one and I love it. I am sure you can find some SBR or pistol versions if you look. It uses PS90 mags and fits any standard lower.
