Thank you- I also like slaw dogs... but I do not go for ketchup and mustard unless nothing else is available.
Mayo and sweet relish is my favorite. Cheese is good too. Just not american cheese- give me sharp cheddar or white cheddar or Monterrey Jack or pretty much anything other than oil based american cheese.
Yeah, American sliced cheese is disgusting.... Cheddar or Colby Jack are my favorites.
BRATS on the other hand are outfitted completely different! Spicy mustard and kraut! Mmmmm.....
There is a little spot just outside of Ramstein Germany, I think it was in Humburg or Homburg ... I'll remember it about 20 mins after I post this ... regardless, there was a street vendor that had the best friggin sausages and mustard known to Earth. During the day, he'd put his cart near the hotel, at night, it was just down from the beer garden ... we'd stumble out of the beer garden, grab a couple to take back to the hotel and life was good.
Oh yeah- bratwurst is no hot dog. Spicy mustard and some kraut is great on those.

Agreed. It's a damn hotdog. It's delicious, but it will never be a culinary wonder dish. Mayo, cheese, eat dat shit! Mmmm! If you're lucky they will be warmer than the ones at the CMP. lol

There's a few Coney-I-Landers in Tulsa - been around since 1922, and the original Jim's Coney Island.
Buncha Greek immigrants started the family business downtown. They set the bar, IMHO.
Keep it simple: steamed bun, weenie, mustard, chili and onions. Some hot sauce on the table, add to taste.
